Our Historic Office Building

Our office is located in the historic Birch-Bloomfield house in Burlington.

The Birch-Bloomfield house in Burlington, New Jersey

The house was built in 1750 and is believed to be one of the oldest standing structures in Burlington. James Birch lived in the Birch-Bloomfield house with his family. He was a well-known carriage builder and, with the assistance of his employees, produced more than 200 carriage models. These carriages were exported around the world.

Birch was visited by Henry Ford, who asked him to consider producing his automobiles. Birch refused his offer, believing that automobiles would never replace carriages. Unfortunately, he was wrong, and ultimately his business declined and the factory closed in 1918.
