New Jersey man killed in hit-and-run collision

A 36-year-old Rahway man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Dec. 12. According to the Rahway Police Department, the accident happened around 5:40 p.m. on St. George Avenue at its intersection with Race Street. Although the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital for treatment, he died from the injuries he suffered.

Multi-vehicle accident on turnpike injures 10

An accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in the morning rush hour left 10 people injured on Dec. 17. An investigation into why the crash happened is ongoing, and no charges have been filed as of the time of this report.

Fiery fuel tanker collision kills 1, critically injures driver

Law enforcement officials with the New Jersey state police reported that a car and two semi-trucks collided on Route 78, causing a fuel tanker to burst into flames. Reportedly, the major collision occurred on Route 78 on Dec. 6 at the Garden State Parkway ramp entrance to the highway.

A wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike, which caused one of the cars to become engulfed in flames, killed one person on Nov. 25. The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. when a small dump truck hit a Ford Crown Victoria that was stopped in the southbound shoulder of the outer roadway.
