2 people injured after car drives through restaurant window

Two people were injured on Feb. 19 after a car crashed through the window of a Wendy's restaurant in New Jersey. The incident took place in Bayonne at 3:12 p.m. when an elderly woman crashed her BMW sports utility vehicle into the restaurant window and then drove 10 feet inside. The driver was not injured, but an 89-year-old man was left in critical condition, and a 12-year-old boy sustained leg injuries.

40-vehicle pileup on New Jersey Turnpike kills 1

On the night of Feb. 9, icy road surfaces on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cranbury caused two tractor trailers to swing out of control as they attempted to slow down to avoid accidents. The resulting accidents included 40 vehicles in total and killed one 52-year-old Bordentown man.

New Jersey man critically hurt in head-on collision

A Jackson man was critically injured after the SUV he was riding in was struck head-on by another vehicle in Franklin. The accident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Franklin Avenue near Norma Avenue.

New Jersey man killed while working on utility pole

On the morning of Feb. 5, PSE&G dispatched an electrical worker to the Thomas and Appleton roads area in Glen Ridge. They had been receiving numerous calls from their customers with complaints regarding an outage in that area, according to a PSE&G spokesperson. The worker found a blown fuse and requested assistance from a second worker in finding the cause.

2 employees injured in explosion

Two employees were injured by an explosion that occurred at a store in New Jersey on Feb. 6. The incident happened around 7 a.m. on Route 46. All traffic in the area was shut down, and authorities reportedly had the fire under control by 8 a.m. The building was located at the 600 block of Route 46 near Exit 154 northbound for the Garden State Parkway. The supply store explosion was caused by oxygen employees were using to fill cylinders.

Man charged in New Jersey for car accident that killed 1

According the New Jersey law enforcement, a 41-year-old man from Thorofare was arrested after a fatal head-on motor vehicle accident left a 23-year-old woman dead and two others injured. The incident occurred on Jan. 27 around 11:30 p.m. on Route 206 in Shamong. The man was driving a Ford pick-up when he slammed into a 27-year-old's Saturn. The passenger who died was trapped inside the Saturn, and emergency responders had to extricate her from the vehicle.
