Head-on car crash kills man

An automobile accident that occurred around 5:28 p.m. on April 18 has caused the death of a 68-year-old New Jersey man. The police of Morris County announced that they were investigating the crash in Washington Township, but no citations had yet been issued.

According to the reports, the Long Valley man was driving his vehicle when a second vehicle, driven by a 69-year-old woman from Long Valley, crossed over into the path of oncoming traffic directly in front of him. He was thrown from the vehicle in the resulting collision and suffered fatal injuries. Attempts to resuscitate the man failed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver was unharmed in the wreck and refused medical treatment. At the time of the report, the accident was still under investigation, and it was unclear why the woman crossed into oncoming traffic.

An automobile accident victim who has lost their life may leave a large hole in their family. In addition to funeral and burial expenses, their spouse may suffer from lack of companionship, and any children will be forced to do without the guidance and encouragement of their deceased parent. The economic and emotional support that their kin had been accustomed to may be interrupted, and the family may encounter difficulties as a result. These difficulties are the responsibility of the person who caused the accident, so surviving members may choose to try to seek restitution from those at fault. It may be helpful to talk with an attorney about the proper method for filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
