A Lanoka Harbor man, 61, died after he was struck by a drunk driver on Nov. 10. According to reports, the pedestrian was carried on the hit-and-run driver's windshield for approximately a mile until the vehicle was stopped by police.

2 pedestrians seriously injured in New Jersey hit-and-run

New Jersey police say that two brothers were struck by a vehicle while they were walking home from a movie theater on Nov. 14 at about 9:50 p.m. The hit-and-run accident occurred in North Bergen between 31st Street and 32nd Street near Kennedy Boulevard. Police are still searching for the red Nissan Rogue that hit the two pedestrians, according to sources.

An alleged drunk driver and several other entities have been named as defendants in a civil suit regarding a hit-and-run crash in 2010. The accident reportedly occurred when the driver failed to stop for nine pedestrians; one lawyer is filing this suit for a family of three who suffered serious injuries. The crash happened on Route 210 South after a soccer game at the New Meadowlands Stadium between Mexico and Ecuador. The defendants listed in the suit include the stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and Major League Soccer.

Guilty plea from bus driver in airport hit-and-run

A bus driver who was arrested in April 2013 in connection with the accident pleaded guilty on July 1 to leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. The plea agreement removed a lesser included offense of endangering an injured victim, and the prosecution's recommendation for sentencing, which would be finalized at a hearing on Sept. 9, was a 364-day stay in jail.
